Be Aware of Text Message and Phone Call Scams
The Text Message and Voice Response Scam is designed to gather information on your Debit Card.
Criminals are soliciting and contacting customers via cell phone text messages and voice recordings, in an effort to con customers by illegally obtaining personal information. These text messages and voice recordings may look and sound authentic, closely resembling those sent by legitimate financial institutions, but they are fraudulent. The text message or voice recording will claim that the customer's Debit Card had been deactivated and to reactivate, the customer must enter their Debit Card number followed by the Personal Identification Number (PIN). It is our goal to help keep you informed about activity that could affect your account. Should you have any questions about this scam please give us a call.
IMPORTANT: Contact your Personal Banker immediately if you have responded to one of these text messages or voice recordings to receive guidance on blocking fraudulent transactions.
